William Henry Dougan<\/b> is considered one of the founding fathers of western horse culture in Europe. From an early age he had a special bond with horses and an irresistible desire for the cowboy life. His first steps in the rodeo world were anything but natural: at the age of 17 he applied for a job as a cowboy at Bobbejaanland, but first ended up behind the dishes and among the pizza tables.<\/span><\/p>

The tide turned when he met <\/span>Charles Holbrook<\/b>, the American right-hand man of a rodeo producer. Holbrook gave William his first chance in the arena, where he immediately showed his talent. What started as a leap of faith grew into a lifelong career in rodeo. William excelled as a bronc and bull rider, performed in shows, and inspired audiences and colleagues with his perseverance and passion.<\/span><\/p>

His charisma and signature cowboy hat made him a beloved figure. Whether he was guiding young riders, coaching professional athletes, or taking recreational riders on a trail ride, William always brought everyone in touch with the essence of the cowboy life. <\/span><\/p>

To this day, he remains a mentor, trainer, and source of inspiration for riders, breeders, and enthusiasts.
