Every great dream begins with confidence and opportunity.<\/p>

At Gipsy Horses Ranch, that dream was born thanks to a father who gave his son a home and a cowboy who opened the gate to the West. Their support laid the foundation for a movement that managed to touch Europe with the soul of cowboy culture. <\/p>

The story of the <\/span>Gipsy Horses Ranch<\/b> begins with a dream, a promise and two men who left a lasting mark on the life of <\/span>William Henry Dougan<\/b>: his father, <\/span>Lord William John Dougan<\/b> (Bill) and his mentor, <\/span>Charles Holbrook<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

When William took his first steps into the rodeo world as a young cowboy, his father encouraged him to pursue his dreams not in America, but in <\/span>Westerlo.<\/span>
<\/span>“Build your dream here and I will give you a ranch,” he promised him.<\/span>
<\/span>Those words grew into the foundations of what is known today as <\/span>Gipsy Horses Ranch.<\/span>
<\/span>Lord William J. Dougan<\/strong> was not only the ranch’s builder, but also the father who instilled in his son direction, confidence and love of horses, the values on which the ranch still relies today.<\/span><\/p>

On the other side was <\/span>Charles Holbrook<\/b>, the American who gave William his first chance in the rodeo arena. Where others saw only a young Belgian, Charles recognized the heart of a cowboy. He became a mentor, coach and friend, teaching William not only the art of riding, but also the soul of the cowboy existence: <\/span>courage, discipline and friendship.<\/p>

With these two mainstays by his side, William grew into the man who turned his passion into a life’s work. <\/span>Gipsy Horses Ranch<\/b> became not just a place for shows, rodeos and training, but a <\/span>home for anyone who wanted to experience the magic of the Wild West. Here, young and old still learn to handle horses, families discover the freedom of the outdoors and everyone finds a piece of that unique Western Spirit.<\/span><\/p>

What began as a small dream in the 1970s grew into a <\/span>legacy that has already inspired thousands of people. The ranch has already produced champions, trained trainers and riders and given many unforgettable memories, whether on horseback or not. People with disabilities also find their place here, as the Gipsy Horses Ranch lifestyle is based <\/span>on equality, friendship and perseverance.<\/span><\/p>

Today is <\/span>Gipsy Horses Ranch<\/b> more than a place. It is a living reminder of a father who believed in his son and a cowboy who offered an opportunity.<\/span>
<\/span>Without <\/span>Lord William John Dougan (Bill)<\/b> and <\/span>Charles Holbrook<\/b> there would be no ranch, no community and no movement that to this day unites people in the rodeo world.<\/span><\/p>
